    No, perhaps I wasn't clear. The waterfalls are not normally there, and they aren't even normally washes. The only way to see something like that is to have been there during some extreme downpours. Otherwise, they are just normal, dry, desert cliffs, like this:



    Looking at the cliff above, we were actually at the base of the one in the background, taking photos of the other side (the side we're on in the photo). For anyone that knows the area, this is Moab Rim and the road along the river. But anyway, this is what they normally look like!
