But due to "doodyheads" I think I'd rather plan an MJR run on the trail some other time of the year. Is that wrong etiquette? (I'd almost bet on that being wrong spelling and/or grammar.) Irresponsible people are dangerous enough without throwing in 4x4's and tents. I might feel differently if I were in a motor home... or a tank.
If you realized how much money runs like this produce for legal battles then you might think different. How much has MJR given to legal fights???? You really don't want the few to spoil it for the masses. It is a really great run and I would recommend it for all.

There is a lot of housing development going on at the entrance of N Marina dr. It will be a short matter of time the folks which buy those houses start complaining. If they manage to close this exit TDS may end at this location. There is no other easy way in for Motor Homes and larger trailerabe trucks to pull stuff in.

Not sure if another exit is planned. You should go to TDS event if you can.

They have been planning housing thoughout the area for 40 years. Still nothing. I doubt that housing will sell very well in the area. The lake needs a drastic makeover before they will sell to potential buyers.

Thats a very good point. I may reconsider. Thanks for showing another angle to me.

              TDS Safari

The housing developement along North Marina has us looking for a future site for headquarters. As of now we have a pretty good relationship with the developer. We know we have atleast one more year at the current site. We have asked the volunteer Sherrifs off road enforcement team as well as the Sherrifs Dept. to be more of a presence then in the past. We have tried it with private security guards but it did not work out. So far it looks good for added security.
On the more positive side The TDS Desert Safari is an annual happening that has attracted many a 4 Wheerler for numerous years. We have donated atleast $25,000 of the proceeds each of the last seven years to various organizations fighting the fight to keep atleast what we have.
The vendor participation has grown and the prize give away has remained quite large and we hope it remains that way. We can't do it with out participants and I hope those who have reservations reconsider.
Thank you for letting me rant.
              George.

Has anyone planned on an MJR trail run? I have a few friends intrested in meeting some new people to hit some trails with. Want to get away from the unorganized craziness of Glamis and other overpopulated areas where you have to look out for the drunk idiots and get with some responsible jeep people....and of course, have a few beers by the campfire...but responsible!!!

I most likely will be going. Actually got my Jeep posted in a new magazine 4X4 Builder first issue in the TDS Event section.

Sara I dont know how to add roll call perhaps you can.

Even though its been a little nasty in the past I'll go, who knows where the next few will be.
