      That's are awesome shots, oh what I wouldn't give to be in the passenger or driver's seat of those rigs in those moments.

            Right on Mike! Thanks for posting those You caught that JKU roll, man that was sweet to watch online when it happened, I bet it was amazing in person! He just landed and powered on out like he planned it that way :-D

                  Sorry I didn't respond earlier - we were out of town for a few days - at my sons Navy graduation in Chicago.

                    I saw you out there, but you had just driven off. I thought you and Fred might have entered a vehicle.

                    I haven't done any off road stuff since the last Hammer race.

                      Ah yes, the Great Lakes Naval Training Center...aka "Great Mistakes" training center. LOL. I know it well.

                        The shots aren't as clear as I would like - they have the crowd barriers so far away from the track now - shooting at 100ft to 100 yards at speeding vehicles. Shutter speeds were 1000 to 1200th sec. so they're usable.

                        Maybe next year I'll get a photo pass.

                              Wow, that Nikon has a 60x zoom (24mm to 1440mm equivalent). Hard too believe ANYTHING would be too far away. Sounds like you need a tripod or monopod for stability.
