Celebration back to the ROCKS! Calico bound March 8th weekend

It's been a while since I've been to Calico, I forget how difficult the trails are. I remember a few of the obstacles, mostly shelf climbs and a few narrow uphill canyons. Think my Willys could be ok? It's super short 80" wheel base, narrow track width, 31" MT tires, and open differentials. And by time this run goes, I should have 2.5" of lift.

I seem to remember that we had a few stock vehicles make it through (a wrangler, and a Grand Cherokee) with a few tugs here and there, think I would be ok in the Willys? I would be a little concerned on some of the shelf/waterfall climbs with the short wheel base, but I've got D-rings front and rear. I'd love to get the willys out to some trails But I don't want to be slowing everyone down. I'll be taking it to Hungry valley in a few weeks, see how it does out there.

D- I'm not sure Calico is the best place to bring that Jeep. You can. Can you make it without a dent or two? Maybe, maybe not. You will most likely need a tug here or there, but I'm mainly concerned with body damage. If it were me, I wouldn't. The rocks are very sharp out there too.

If you decide you want to, just know we plan on doing the harder stuff out there and probably the wash up and down by Wall Street. We won't be going around. So...up to you!

I'll just take the TJ then, maybe start the Willys on some easier trails. I think Last Chance Canyon would be a good one for the Willys, bypasses for everything.

Smart move IMHO. Wouldn't want ya dingin' up that thing in Calico. Very capable rigs get hurt out there all the time. Better safe than sorry and just not worth the risk.

I'm partial to running up Doran over to wall street and down odessa....or vice versa..we usually figure out the details when we get there..see what everyone is on the mood for..but they all get ran. .one way or another.
