Nice try Jr! This is YOUR run, YOU started a thread for it days ago. I have a stinger on my jeep and I'm not afraid to get a little red paint on it .

To your rooms boys. Dan-Buck started the thread the trail head is easy to find. At almost exactly 6 miles from the 14/randsburg road is the trailhead. Those coming from the south be sure to top off in Mojave as the gas at Jawbone Junction is quite pricey.

Here is a link to meet place:
        http://maps.google.com/maps?q=red+ro...93504&t=m&z=15

Put it in your GPS and it will bring to the meet point.

DaK, Clg82, DB, and I have been on a few runs together. We joke back and forth with each other like this.

It's all good. So we still need to find out where the turn off is for Nightmare Gulch, right?

I found this, not sure it'll help? It shows the turn off for nightmare gulche off Hwy 14. Does LCC also connect with nightmare Gulch? Doen't look like it on this map.

We know where it is. We will get you to Nightmare.

What hill are we talking about? There are several nice challenges. One is on the other side of the turn off for nightmare. In other words you have to go past the turn off for nightmare do the hill, then come back. There is another one further on that road that is hidden from most that is a good challenge as well. In fact you don't see it till you turn a corner and your front bumper about smacks it. Then there is the on Daniel-buck is shown doing. That is on Nightmare itself and can be missed as it blends into the east wall of the canyon if one is not looking for it. There is one right before the turn off as well, it will be to our left just before we turn to go up Nightmare. Have yet to see anyone in a jeep go up or down that hill. Once up it you can follow that road and meet at the entrance to nightmare. Be interesting to watch people go up that one.

Here is the turn to Nightmare
                            http://maps.google.com/maps?q=Garloc...93554&t=h&z=18

It is an old camp. You will see concrete footings/floorspaces but no buildings. There is an old munitions mine to the left. Where the map shows a slight left then an abrupt right, you will continue on that left where the "v" is. Once at the top of that hill, you will make a left. That will put you on Nightmare and eventually out to the 14.

One hill, the one I have yet to see jeeps go up is on the bottom, just right of center. The other is just right of where the camp is.
