Told ya Curtis that is about a clean a job as you will find. The way he tapered the transition from the stock frame to his addition looks really clean

Yea thats the way I want to do mine. I could build that first and then cut the stock frame and just weld it in. An now that Fred did all the hard work I can just copy his.:haha:

When I have a ton of time and feel incredibly bored that's what the tail of mine is going to end up looking like, so I can loose the rear wheel spacers

Ha! I'm joking. Re-doing some stuff I didn't like. Front bump stop location, heat shield under pass side, exhaust mounts, front brake line re-route, new E-brake assembly, fix broken frame at steering box, steering box brace, center console, drain in trans pan, re-locate limit straps, and a whole lot of badly needed maintenance.

This maintenance stuff never ends does it? I found a missing shock bolt, had been wondering why for most of the trail one of the springs was popping

Dude, the big tires and big steering box just over powered the frame rail. It was cracked all the way around and almost ready to break through. Fish plates baby! I haven't found any missing bolts but a few that rocks scraped off the threads. Ahhh the delight of Jeep ownership...

You need to add a steering ram will take some strain of the steering box

Thanks for the complements. All I got to do now is get some kind of rear fenders built for the street. I like the ones Kurt made. Hay Art I thought something was hanging down when you passed me on the frwy. Curtis you can copy anything you want. The hard part is the dam compound angles I hate them and cutting off the back half of a perfectly good frame and watch it hit the ground.
                            You can make it

Ha! I hear ya man... But it was worth it.

BTW, I have a set of rear fenders almost completed... Hint hint.

I started out as a framer stacking roofs. So compounds aren't to bad for me.

Is the tube under the tub 3x2?

I have always liked the back half kit from BTF.

So now that you did the hard work I can just get a couple pictures and measurements I"m good.

Again great job and fab work.
