  • Trail Run: June 15-17th Yellow Jacket Run/Clean-Up Posse Needed !

Hey everybody! Camp with us all weekend or come out for the clean-up day June 16th!

Yellow Jacket is a trail off of Miller Jeep Trail in Fraizer Park. It's a cool trail with pretty scenery, some rocks and a nice stream of water flowing through the end of it where we normally stop for lunch. It's pretty brushy and green in some spots. Ran it last weekend..it doesn't need as much work as we did to it last year, but it could use a haircut in a spot or two.

Be fun! Get to run Lockwood, Yellow Jacket and Miller Saturday. Bring gloves, a big knife or machete type thing, bug repellant, a cooler, food and something cold to drink...

If you're planning on camping, there's other trails in the area we can run on Sunday. They're easy to moderate and beautiful

    Any takers??

For anyone wanting to come June 16th; Saturday morning, we'll meet you at 930am at the Lockwood Forest Service station off Lockwood Valley Rd. The address is 34580 Lockwood Valley Rd., Frazier Park 93225 . As for a Friday meeting; it's either going to be the Flying J (42810 Frazier Mountain Park Rd, Frazier Park, CA 93225) or the Forest Service Station. As we get closer, we'll see what works best for everyone..

        Hey Ron!

I would think so. I don't remember what time it was when we hit it last time ?

We'll hit the trailhead of Lockwood at 10am and take our time getting there... and then be there for a little bit. What I can do is put some blue marker tape on the Yellow Jacket sign to let you know we're on the trail cleanin up. After we get done with the clean up, we'll mosey on up Miller...from there, probably go play in Hungry Valley for a little bit. Hit up the practice area and some of my favorite trails in the park..so worse case scenerio, you catch up with us because we'll be moving slowly.

Ok Sky~ it's a bit easier than Calico and Big Bear, but not "you'll be bored easy"..and it's really pretty where we're camped. I miss wheeling with you too! That's enough reason right there!

Is your girlfriend going to be able to make this one?

Girlfriend is gone. She was only here for that weekend. It's a long distance thing dude, that's why if she's in town I don't mind not wheeling. Also, whether I can make this run or not will be dictated by how much work I get done on the Jeep. With limited freetime between now and mid July, I have a lot of work that I want to get done beforehand.

Is there gas available at the 5 fwy and Frazier Park? If not where is the nearest station if I am coming from the south? Thanks
