        Here is a bit more info on the Spanish mercury smelter that I found, seems there should be some mines near by for the Cinnabar, that was used to make mercury which then was used to get the gold out of crushed rock.

              If I remember right, there are some mines off 2N70Y. You can't see them from the road.

                  What we are looking for is where they mined the Cinnabar for the smelter. Has to be very close to the smelter
