Art, you don't need the backpack to use the features on the 2.

Had the tranny flushed and filter replaced and have Been wheeling several times since the last overheating. Funny thing is, it was about the same spot. I just got done telling my son well this is where the hot oil light came on and then 30 seconds later Bam... Not sure if it is because I was running it in 2 wheel drive and it is working harder or altitude or the drive there then wheeling??? Cleg is the only spot where it happens. I need gears bad it does not help having a 4 speed and it never shifts into fourth... I drove all the way to Calico let the jeep sit for 30 minutes or so and then wheeled for hours then drove home and no light came on.

Know of any deals on gears. Don’t want to spend too much gearing a D30 I have high hopes for the front of the Jeep but all in time.

Hit me up next time you go out that is a short drive for me and it has its share of fun offshoots that I do not like to do alone.
If you over fill you trans it could overheat! Make sure fluid is below the full mark when hot. Learned this the hard way with my toyota 4 runner back in the day.

It's a JK thing. Trail crawling puts a lot of heat load on the tranny, the torque converter is not locked so it creates the heat. Gears will help, also running in low range.

I saw an ad of theirs for a whole set of gears, lockers, master install kit and compressor for 1900 shipped to your door. Just had never heard of the brand "Zip Lockers" that and I was getting ahead of myself with the I should call them for just gears.

                      Thanks

Nice of you to help him out! Though I guess if you didn't help him you would have been a completely horrible person, if you just waved and drove on by, hah!

I like helping when I can if someone can't help them selves out or doesn't already have help on the way. Cause I'd like someone to do the same for me if I ever needed it! I've only come across someone offroad who needed help a few times, but when I'm on my long trips across the country I've given quite a few people a hand along the way. Usually little things like a jump, or help with a tire change, or some brake fluid or water for their radiator. But still, I bet that little help makes their day go better

Would have helped him no matter what, but he was a trail plug, so had no choice but drag it out of the way lol
