First and foremost thanks to all the AAT Volunteers, the trail is in awesome shape.
I started my first hollcomb run with a unexpected vehicle inspection by CHP on the side of HWY 18. In all honesty he could have dinged me for all kinds of stuff but gave a fix it ticket for no mudflaps and half a dozen verbal warnings. It wasn't the greatest start of the day fourtantly it did not turn into a harbinger of things to come. I meet Roger and Xthread in Fawnskin. We started for the trail head and immediately started hearing CB traffic from the Sand Diego 4 Wheelers who had a club run behind us. We didn't slow down and take pictures much but it sure was a fun day with almost no issues except my jeep wanted to run hot all day I didn't boil over but I did lose most of the water in my overflow by the end of the day. Here are a few pics from Holcomb and Gold Mountain.
