I was thinking of doing the Dishpan trail next Sat. Meeting in the same place at the same time as in the 1st post.
The weather up here has been perfect.
Anyone want to run this trail this Sat.?? Trail conditions should be perfect...
I think this post got moved into the report section.
I'm interested too, but the forecast is for snow on Friday with some flurries possible on Saturday...
Cool, it should make the trail fun.
It looks like the snow level is supposed to be around 6000ft.+ Dispan is right at that, but I don't anticipate much snow. It's been in the 60's up here all for the past week. I ran it one year with 3"s of fresh snow...it was great.
I hear you about not expecting too much snow. I was expecting pretty clear weather for the next 10 days at least and was surprised to see rain in the forecast for Friday.
With the rain and snow will I still be alright with 33" tires and 1 locker?
Also, with the 173 closed is the best route from the High Desert to go up the 138 to Crestline and over to Lake Arrowhead?

Yes, the best way to LA is the 173 to 138 to Crest Forest Dr to the 18, then over to the 173 again to Hook Creek Rd. The trail is wet from end to end right now even w/o any rain.
A Cherokee w/ 33's will be more than adequate.
