Curtis, you don't have an 8 track...do you. I might still have a couple of tapes for ya. Might be Andy Williams though.

And I am sure it could be done in 30 minutes on 40s while listening to Bach, what is the point, that you need big tires and use them to overcome what others use skill too?
What we are saying is not that it cannot be done.
You know a lot of us started wheeling years ago, 31s were big tires, 33 were MEATS and expensive. We ran 31s and 29s mainly, had a limited slip in the rear and learned to wheel the exact same trails you can today with the huge tires and fully locked diffs ran today. We learned to pick lines and finesse equipment to get the job done. We had a blast on the trails you have today. If we needed to winch, we did and had a blast doing so. We are the same crowd that shows up on runs and are in vehicles you discount as to low or tires to small, but if you notice we are usually first into camp at the end of the day and our equipment is usually in better shape.
Why? Years of experience learning how to wheel and the ability to do what others HAVE to buy bigger, not better, equipment to overcome the same terrain.
What is being discussed here is that if you think we do not belong on those trails, you are an idiot, we cut those trails.
Now if you want a true challenge, I challenge you to show up with the same equipment as someone like JeepGal, 33s and open diffs, and take her lines, she will walk out of places you will get stuck. Seen her do it many times. The reason why she will, like a lot of us will, is we have been doing it for years and learned how to do it with open diffs. 35s and lockers make it easy enough that a Ricer could do it without a challenge. The challenge is to do it with less and take the same lines.
Take a CJ5 with 31s and a 2 inch lift over that trail, when you get to the other side I bet the smile on your face will be 10 times bigger than when you did it in 30 minutes as you will know you did something.

What's the deal with talking all this smack Jim?
JB is a bunny trail plain and simple, now lets go out and do some wheeling instead of talking smack and getting busy with web wheelin

Jim it was a joke so chill. I'm 63 years old and bought my first jeep in 1965. I have owned one of just about every cj jeep made and a few others. So I have been there done that. This thread was about a trail run not about who could do JB with what. So Sorry if I ruffled some feathers.

I think this was started when they said if we were running 31s we did not belong on their trails.
And reinforced when they said they did not spend all that money on their rigs just to have guys on 31s on doing the same trails they do.
I am not talking smack Art, just letting them know that some of us do not run big stuff and still go where they do, but when they say we do not need to be on the trail if we are running 31s, like was said in this thread, I will challenge them to drop down to our equipment and follow us around, They always seem back down.

i think there point is someone with 31" tires does not belong with a group of guys running 35"+ tires , there's a difference between running JB in 1-2 hours or 5-6 hours yanking, stacking, pulling, jerking and what ever else is needed to get them threw makes for a long day for sone guys ......

I don't think anybody said anything about 31' tires not being on the trail. I'm done with this. See you guys in the morning. Mike yes I still have the 8 track.

This sucks! Everytime I crawl under the jeep I find something else that needs to be fixed. Not going to make it tommorow found some issues I need to fix before I take the heep out again.
