I did DS last year with 33's and open difs. and made it o.k. i did it again last weekend with lockers and had more fun and got to take the harder line up on the right side this time. Ive no FHE with J.B. on open difs.

Done JB numerous times without using my locker and no tugs from anyone. Had a buddy do it on 30s in a beat YJ with open diffs and no help from anyone.

Lots of folks saying they can do JB with open diffs and 31's. If it's that easy, where's the fun for the rest of us? I'm sure many would agree they didn't invest a small fortune in their rigs to do runs anyone can do. What a delema!! Maybe someone who knows what their doing should role a few rocks around, don't ya think.

That is why there are 3 lines at the gatekeeper -Mild to Wild!

You pick your line and make it what you want it to be.

Am sure I have not spent a lot of time learning how to wheel so I did not have to throw a lot of coin at my rig just to have some guy using equiptment for lack of knowledge to run the trails I do.

Ill agree with Jim here. Ill talk a lot of driving skill over a lot of equipment any day. And also I'll second what Kat said. I ran John Bull last weekend and I went up the easier line on gate keeper after the XJ on 37's and Dana 60's spent twenty minutes playing around on the hard line. I talked to one of the guys from the "waywegos" who maintain 3n10 and he told me about how they are planning on making it harder.

It is mandated by the SBNF USFS that all trails must be built so that a vehicle on 31's with open diffs can successfully complete the trail. If the trail is wide enough that an optional more difficult line can be built...so be it.

You can always go to JV in August and play with your small fortune.

Nope, I'm surfing the web. All LAX traffic is being rerouted to HNL (which is a real bitch for those regional jets)

I do JB with my 35" tires and lockers in 40 minutes while listing to Creedence Clearwater on my 8 track. Lets see you do that with 31" tires and open Diffs.LOL

[COLOR="Blue"]If I could break in here for a minute....for those still interested, we'll be meeting at the Jensen's Minute market in Cedar Glen (not to be confused with the Jensens in Blue Jay)on the corner of 173 & Hook Creek Rd. 9:00 a.m.

The Jensen's parking lot on the 173 side would be best as it is bigger than the Hook Cr. side. I'll be easy to spot, I'll be the one in the red Jeep eating a donut.
There is also a gas station there on the corner for those needing gas.

The forcast looks very good, highs around 70, but cool in the morning.

Looking forward to a great run on some really great trails. Be sure to bring a hat & STL - the Mountain sun will burn ya.
