I think we need a list of who to look for.

In with my son and his friend. Coming in early Friday afternoon. Green YJ towed by a silver F-150.

I'm bummed, I couldn't get the replacement TJ ready in time, mainly from the lack of a compressor for the lockers that hasn't arrived yet. This will be the first HDR I've missed in years.

Hi Guys, Its been over a year ago, but I met some of you at Johnson Valley with Tri-County Gear. That was my first and only run due to a new baby in the family. Will be heading up Saturday Morning, and will stop by to say hello. Will be in a Black TJ.

If you were with the Victor Valley group, we had to have met on Achy Breaky. If that wasn't you, I don't how we missed you. We camped right behind your group.

                      Baw ha ha ha.

This morning, My Broken Jeep and I were wondering where this "Tool Pimp" guy was and how did we miss him. He said he was coming.

Too funny. Glad to have met you. See you guys at Fun in the Desert.

Our usual campsite was occupied by another club, so we ended up about 200 feet south of the usual spot. Friday was windy, and Friday night was COLD, but the rest of the weekend was beautiful:

On Saturday, I joined the El Diablo run. Here's the description of the run: This run will go up or down 7 to 9 canyons in the hills south west of camp. You will experience a range of challenges, tight rocky canyons, loose uphill climbs, off camber left and right on ridgelines, downhills on steep canyons with twists and turns. This trail also has very scenic views of the entire valley area. Vehicles will be required to have at least 33" tires, a single full locker in the rear or dual limited slips. Chuck Shaner was the trail leader, and he is one of the CA4WDC veterans who helped to develop this trail. Chuck warned us that the trail had a lot of steep, loose hill climbs. He also warned us to watch out for snakes and especially keep on eye on our kids and dogs.

The run had hardly begun when I got the first flat tire of the day. I pulled off the trail so that I wouldn't block it, but everyone stopped anyway to watch as I changed the tire. Back at camp later that day, I plugged it:

About an hour later, I had another flat and almost simultaneously, another driver ahead of us also had a flat. Fortunately, my flat was due to a simple broken valve stem, and even more fortunate was the fact that the Jeep in front of me was carrying spare valve stems! We replaced the valve stem and aired up my tire, but had to wait for the other vehicle to change his tire.

We stopped for lunch on a saddle that had a great view of the area:

After lunch, we continued on the trail and finished the run by mid-afternoon. There was a total of eight flat tires on the run (two of which were mine):

If you don't like the way I drive, stay out of the bushes!

That was a fun weekend. It was great meeting Russ and Jason. Too bad I got there several hours before them and camped somewhere else. Looks like I met brokenjeep Monday but didn't know it was him. I still want your H2 recovery sticker BTW.
