Carmen and I plan on making this one... We have heard that this is a really fun event and one that we would take a lot of great memories (and hopefully pictures and video) from...
We are thinking to hang out with the Victor Valley 4 Wheelers... Anyone attending from MJR, be sure to look for us...Regards,
Randy

Hey everyone, we have a few quick questions:
If we (fiance and I) come up there, I'd like to bring my truck in case she breaks something and we need to trailer the Jeep home. Would we be charged for the truck? I wouldn't bring a trailer up there, just have the truck so I could rent one should I need it. Might also go do a little prerunning in the desert afterwards. Would that be okay? Would we have to pay for the truck as well?
Will there be trail runs everyday?
Thanks,
Chase
Also, we saw you guys out at Bass Pro Shops on our way to a meet up for my truck actually. We stopped to check out all the Jeeps, you guys definitely know how to represent!

We are getting really excited about this years Round Up!
We have a few questions...
For those who are big into Geocaching...Tell us about it... What do you do? We read there will prizes and drawings... What do you have to do to qualify?
Are there going to be exhibitors? Anyone have a list? Will they also be doing prize give-aways/drawings?
The Bar-B-Que sounds great! Anyone know whats actually on the menu? Other than buying the ticket, is there anything we need to bring? Is it a BYOB Bar-B-Que?
Just a few questions for a first-timer at this event...Regards,
Randy

The BBQ is catered by Chef Andy and his crew at the Ruff Rock Cafe. It's BBQ pulled pork. The price includes salad, mashed potato and vegetable. Dessert is extra. Bring your own chair or take it back to camp to eat. The vendor area will be adjacent to the registration area. There will be a raffle on Saturday night. Bring your own chair. Raffle tickets will be on sale at the registration tent. I'm not into geocaching, but there is a geocaching event on the schedule.
Look for my khaki TJ, my tent, Jason's YJ, Jason's camper and the MJR banner. We will be a couple hundred meters due west of the registration area. As Jason said in his post, we have to walk through or drive around the VV4W club encampment to get to/from the registration area. I will post up the GPS coordinates later.
When you set up camp, watch out for red ant nests (ask Matt2001TJ how to deal with them, he's a professional exterminator).Last edited by Russ Chung; 05-16-10, 05:13 AM.If you don't like the way I drive, stay out of the bushes!

Don't look for Jason's camper. I sold that. Now I will have a tent that sits in the back of the truck bed.
Russ, the raffle is on Sunday night unless that has changed this year.
Other than the Saturday night BBQ, the Ruff Rock Cafe is open for dinner on Friday with BBQ hamburgers, hot dogs, and I think some steaks. They serve breakfast on both Sat and Sun. I'm always waiting for the last minute to decide if I bring my own food or not. It is easier to just buy some food there plus Barstow is just over the hill. You can also take the senic drive over to the Lenwood Outlet area as well.

Im not sure where im camping yet. I normally get there Thursday afternoon or Friday morning and camp about 40 yards above registration. I have a tradition for Saturday afternoon. It involves going into Barstow for ice cream.
I don't know if my rig is "hard core" enough for an outlet mall run but, what's life without challenges.Come to the dark side.....
