I was able to pre run the Fissure Mt trail today. This is one awesome trail. It poses enough challenge to make the trip worthwhile, along with some of the best vistas around. I really enjoyed running this trail.

It's about 4 1/2 miles long and took me 2 hours to run it. The sand hill at the end was really cool.

There are about 4 rough spots, while the remaining 80 percent is awesome sightseeing.

If we have any big dogs along, there is a section of Sledgehammer above the mailbox the you guys can run....I'll watch.

If anyone has been wanting to do the JV trails now is the time...this area may be closed forever in a couple of years.

[COLOR="Blue"]I would like to get an idea of how many would like to participate on this run. So if you could post up and let me know would be cool.

[COLOR="Blue"]I'm not sure what pole it is, it has a plaque on the base, but I was in to big a hurry to read it. I think in might be a memorial or something.

Yeah, I don't know the details, but it is a memorial for someone who died there. I blieve he rolled his Jeep. Not sure.

                        Scott,

You are right. A Jeeper was on the path just to the east a hundred feet, really was not much more than a old mule trail. Rolled and died. Jesse (Kodiak Spirit) knows the whole story.

Hmmm... I will keep an eye out for you guys. I will be in JV attending a naxja run, probably won't see ya though since we will be on the east side camping at means dry lake. But I will try and make a run with the MJR folks since I enjoyed meeting some you on cleghorn last year.

[COLOR="Blue"]There is an old trail to the east, it does look like a mule trail or an old mining road. It looks like it has had vehicle tracks on it, but it's extremly sloped.
