This will be my first run with MJR is there anything besides a flag that I need to bring? Mandatory Equipment?

Glad to have you along Mike,

To answer your question, this thread pretty much sums it up: http://www.myjeeprocks.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4238

Plan on bringing a lunch, snacks, lots of drinking water. Oh and my favorite most impotant thing: toilet paper!! Folding chair for lunch is nice but not mandatory.

Do you have a CB or 2m or 440mhz ham radio? Communications is a must do. If you have to purchase a CB and antenna, they are not very expensive.

A tow strap with loops on the ends (cheap at Harbor Frieght, Home Depot Etc.) Tow hooks or D-rings are good for pulling someone out if they get stuck. If you can't get hooks for this trip, we can tow you anyway. Besides, this is an easy/moderate run.

I guess I over prepare, but I always bring enough stuff to spend the night if we run into big trouble.

Think "Be prepared" - you can't go wrong with that mindset.

This is a starting point, please don't hesitate to ask questions!

The last time we talked you were in semi-retirement.
11 days to get the Jeep road worthy should be enough time. Its been a while looking foward to wheeling with the group again.

Cool... looks like all I still need to buy is the fire extinguisher. Looking forward to meeting you guys on this trip.

I wondered when you were going to sign up!

If you are going to trailer your Jeep up here, you're welcome leave your tow rig at my place again.

              Same goes for anyone else.

Roger, try Home Depot in Apple Valley! I was in there the other day and I know they have Flags.

                            Roger,

Try the Army surplus on Main Street in Hesperia. They have a bunch. Plus they have a pile of hand gun ammo, but it is pricey.

88' would you see if you could find an extra flag for me? ALL I'm finding is Xmas stuff.
This NOT finding a flag is NUTS. We have 3 sons who are Irag/A'stan vets, the wifey and I run with a flag for them and NOW I can't find THAT flag either....
                              Thx,
