Was it really necessary for someone to have a weapon holstered to their waist?

I thought it was because "people" could be hanging out in those mines is why? I also assume, they went shooting before or after as well.

Iron Belle to each his own. If some people feel safer with a holstered and secured gun on their hip in the woods its ok by me, not my style, but like I said to each his own

This is not the place for that disscussion. PM if you feel the need.

            Art,

I need to chat with you about those other mines. really interested in what you and Fred found and where. It looked like plenty of room to park at the surface mine area near the top.

I just made a comment regarding the picture. I was under the impression that since this is an open forum, that comments are allowed. Someone else is here on their soapdish.

If it's in the forest, I think CCW is allowed/legal :dunno: Not sure if your looking for information to educate yourself or to complain. Your post was vague. But, if it's to educate yourself, you might be able to Google it. I thought some new laws had passed regarding that issue.

I don't know what the problem is here. Are only certain people allowed to make comments? I didn't think this forum was that restricted. I wasn't complaining so I don't know how you read into it that much. Your are making a mountain out of a molehill.

Not sure who the comment was directed at? If me. Don't be passive aggressive. Your comment is only taken two ways. One, you were complaining "oh, brother" or two, you were asking to see if it was legal as you might want to CCW on your next trail run. So, no mountain or mowhill. One or the other Either way, I can entertain your comment Again, ask or Google it. In short (for those who love my phrase) side arm is ok in National Forest, but CCW isn't. Someone will chime in I am sure if I am wrong.

Does this one have a faint sulfur smell? Did you go in it? Did you explore any of the timbers below here? How do I get invited? I'm jealous

                            Karstic,

That picture was in Lone Valley 6 or 7 miles east of Hwy 18. Part of a silver mining claim consisting of several tunnel along a 1/2 mile ridge. you are now on the invite list! PM sent.

Fair enough It wasn't my run nor was I the one with the gun holstered. Just trying to clarify her question. But, your right.
