  • Trail Discussion: Moab Trip

    Hey everyone,

Haven't made it on a run with any of you yet but the Jeep is ready!! I moved here from Canada last Sept and quickly the work ran dry and felt I couldn't take the chance on a run and causing any extra expenses and repairs! I am happy to report my jeep is ready to roll or CRAWL!!

I have friends visiting from Canada and we are gonna follow them back as far as Moab and wanted to get everyones thoughts on what to do there.

We are lifted and locked on 35's but travelling with our families so want to make sure we make it fun for all. We are thinking the Porcupine Rim and Top of the World?? Any advice thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated!!!

You will find lots to do in Moab. Will be a little warm this time of the year. They have rafting trips just out of town. A couple of brew pubs in town. Should be fun.

As far as wheeling goes, you might order one of Rick Russell's maps and maybe even a video. His maps are nice and concise and easily carried along. There are also many maps/books in town.

      The trails we ran:
      - Elephant Hill
      - Cane Creek
      - Monitor & Marimac
      - 3D
      - Spring Canyon Bottom / Hey Joe Canyon
      - Onion Creek / Fisher Towers
      - Kokopelli Trail
      - Hell's Revenge

I give all of these trails an A+ rating. Hey Joe a C though, too much slapping brush.
