Yeah, they're not free unfortunately. I had the map of the yellow posts that were still open that the ranger gave me, but I think I tossed it when I was cleaning out the jeep after the trip. There are a number of YP sites still open on the south side, but I think because of the fires they had there the last few years a lot of the sites (and trails) to the NORTH and WEST are still closed.

Thanks slim. I'll plan on camping at Heartbar then. It's the only place I think I can get the Rv in without damage that is also free).

That's pretty far out there, you might be able to grab a Yellow Post on the south side. I really wish I hadn't tossed that guide the ranger gave us. Though I suppose your best bet is to go to the Ranger Station/Discovery Center and they'll let you know both what's open and where you can manage to get your RV into.

          Good Luck,
          Slim

            What is a 12 Rv?

I meant to say 12ft Rv. I think I will be up the mountain as early as I can on Saturday so I can stop by the Discovery Center.

OK, weve got our spot. We will be at Hearbar Yellow Post. Anyone who stops by with a Jeep gets a free beer. Thank you Dennis for saving us a spot!
