This is a prime example of how low gears are necessary. The ones with high gears kept hitting it too fast and hard and made it very difficult to hold the line. Low gears made things nice and smooth.

And we stopped to check out Schmidt tunnel

It got kinda spooky going through the tunnel, specially when I kept turning off the flashlight.

Looks like you guys had fun.
Wish we could have made it.

Here is a pic of the axle mount on my jeep that will be repaired on Monday by Dave at Extreme Offroad in Clovis.

I am sure we could have made a new mount and welded it on, but I wanted it done by a known shop, so if there are issues with it later on, I can go back to them.

The anti-rock arm that is bent too.

The back side of the axle mount.

The fender that will become a flat fender soon.

                        sorry we missed it.

This plaque is outside of the Jawbone station which has a museum, gift shop, cute and friendly rangers with free maps, and a resident tortoise named Mr.Bob. Red Rock Canyon State Park really is a beautiful place to visit....in the winter.

That's all my pics. Thanks again Al and everybody for a great day.

Man Billy you work fast. I haven't even uploaded my pics yet. Great pics. I'll get mine up soon.
Al and company, I had a great time and will do this again. I'm glad getting off the trail took longer than it was supposed to because I wasn't ready to leave.
