Be sure and stop by Keough Hot Springs for a soak in their awesome mineral hot tub and heated pool after a long day on the trail!! Magical and relaxing! It's right outside Bishop, south of town about 7+ miles. There's also a place called the Buttermilks that is worth seeing. It's a world famous rock climbing area. Not much wheelin but wonderful terrain and great views. It's north of town (Bishop). Be sure and check out the Petroglyphs too before we can't drive there anymore!!

BTW, the surrounding areas of this basin is getting closer to being designated as Wilderness (and we all know what that means) so be sure and chime in and flood Buck McKeon's office and B. Boxer's office with opposition as this is happening NOW. We are going to lose a lot of these areas and they will be locked away forever so that future generations will never see them.

Got back last night. Had a great trip. Did some wheeling around the Hot Creek area. We were going to go up to Laurel Lakes but decided to leave that one for our August trip. I will post up some pics tonight.
