1st Annual GenRight Excursion
Hey there, I just want to thank Tony and Debbie for their generosity, we had a great time meeting them and hanging out together. Also thank you to GenRight's employees, Richard, KingSize, Rick and Veronica for all their helpful information, great cooking, and warm hospitality. It's not often that you get to meet with professionals, like yourselves, and get the chance to learn so much about offroading equipment. My daughters and I had a fantastic fun-filled weekend at the festivities. Thanks again, John McClain
ps (special thanks to Trail Boss John, Robert from Rig Works, and Dennis from Extreme Rubicon, for all your help and support)."Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit" as said by those incapable of its proper application and as such suffer from it a lot.

BC109 Saturday 7-12
BC109 runs along a dry wash. The trailhead is on Lockwood Valley Road approximately 28 miles southwest of the Flying J Truck Stop. The meeting point for the run was the GenRight base camp at Hungry Valley, but I was running late, so I went straight from home to the trailhead. I was not aware that the run was nearly cancelled because no one had signed up for it. At the last moment two Jeeps decided to make the run, so Rick Soto (New2Image) led the run. When I arrived at the trailhead no one was there, so I proceeded up the wash where I met Rick, Aaron and Roger.
The wash has intertwined easy, moderate and difficult routes. Stock vehicles and novice drivers can chose the easier routes while experienced drivers with modified rigs can choose the more difficult routes.

Rick led the group up a narrow side canyon:

Later, we chose to run a difficult part of the wash:

We ran up the wash until we reached Dome Spring Campground shortly after noon. We returned to Lockwood Valley Road and proceed northeast to the District Ranger Station at Chuchupate, where we ate lunch and then returned to camp.Last edited by Russ Chung; 07-15-08, 10:36 PM.If you don't like the way I drive, stay out of the bushes!

Night Run, Saturday 7-12
After the delicious BBQ dinner provided by GenRight, David (Mr. Orange) and Josh (Tomb Raider 940) took their rigs to the training hill that is adjacent to the base camp.

Josh got stuck in the boulder field. Our efforts to free his Jeep provided lots of entertainment for the crowd watching from the base camp.

After dark, six Jeeps made a short night run to the "Notch" approximately five miles from camp. Larry (Dog Man) and Josh (Tomb Raider 940) led the run. The other Jeeps were driven by Joe (Schmo), David (Mr. Orange), Shad (Shadly1) and myself (Russ Chung).
