What a bummer. I was looking forward to this run but I understand. I would still like to do a snow run if everyone’s up for it. The kids are looking forward to wheelin in the snow. What about Gold Mountain over to John Bull? That should make a nice challenging run and with the amount of snow and rigs that alone could take most of the day.

I can prolly do a run this Saturday... Just need a meeting place ant time, I have done Gold Mtn. in the snow, and once we got to the backside the snow was really thick and fresh... it was a crazy time, lotza fun.
So what's the good word Old Fart? are ya still gonna lead us on a run?
I respect your decision on the original run of course...:gun: my rifle is not illegal, it's just undocumented... :gun:

Sucks that we have to wait, but safety is paramount. I do love Mr. Toad's ride though...
So are you still gonna run this weekend in BB Jeff? Sounds like GM/JB is becoming the popular selection. Last time I ran GM in the snow it was deep, about two feet in places, and lots of fun.
And how soon do you think you'll want to go to 3N06?

As far as 3N06, I'll wait until I can verify that the trail is pretty clear all the way up to the top. If you look at the topo - I think you can see why I don't want it to be a run with a lot of snow (and we had quite a bit of ice in December)
I've run both GM and JB in the snow many times, I'll pass for this weekend. May run up to Lytle with some of the OHV folks, might stay down the hill and try to get my flying wing to break 120 again.Jeff

There are other trails off of 3N06 but I'm not sure that they will still have snow below the gated trail. I can run up the canyon later this week to check, if there is interest.
John Bull should still have snow. Dishpan Springs might still have snow by Saturday. I haven't run any of the trails around Frazier Park so I can't say if there are suitable trails that will still have snow.
As for me, I'm open to whatever. Any thoughts on these or other ideas?

Absolutely, We should set up a time and place.
I have one question though... Should we go running West to East, or East to West? I've always gone West to East ...which is more challenging in your estimation?
