  • 3N06 Snow Run

Is there an interest from MJR in running 3N06 up to Baldy Notch (Lytle Creek area)?

The trail is normally gated, but I would be willing to take a small/medium sized group up in January. I was up there yesterday, there was actually enough snow that we had to turn back (too many stock rigs in the group. Note that if the weather stays as predicted, there WILL be a lot of snow on the north face, so no stock rigs.

Yes sir, I'm interested. I'll be back from holiday the first week of January. Just let me know if it's a go.

    THanks,

OOOoo! OOooo! Pick me! Pick Me!

I've been wanting to do this trail for a long time. The snow will make it interesting.

And Calduc, I'm pretty confident that your Rubi will be fine for this trail.

Well, I'm not stock, but I'm still open front/rear. What would be needed to make this trail? I don't want to be "that guy" and I also don't really want to break anything. Dents/Scratches OK

The first weekend in Jan will be the last time I can wheel before my work busy season. I'm in.

I'd love to do a run on New Years Day! Any chance of that being the date?

Usually it only takes bigger than stock tires and the will to make it happen.....dents and scratches are usually all that happens on snow runs.....Usually.....

This is a pic from March 06 in the SBNF

32" MTs and he still could not climb the hill.

We hit some 30" to 36" drifts farther up the trail. Even the rigs that had chains on all 4 tires got stuck.

                              Sometimes the snow wins.
