Calico CLean up 2008

Perhaps it's not clear to some of you: attending the event doesn't cost money, but at this time lunch does. If you don't want to pay for a hot meal from a great restaurant, you're welcome to brown-bag it or head back to camp to cook whatever you like.

The organizers are NOT marking up the lunch cost.

As with any event, there is always someone who says "why'd you do THAT???" or something similar. If you do have constructive criticism for the event I would really appreciate it if you used the contact form on CalicoCleanup.com to voice your opinion and generate a discussion there, not here.

I don't want this board to house complaints and any such negativity toward this event.

That said, we'll see everyone in Feb!

I was just out in Calico today and we're gonna need every bit of help we can get! There is a ton of trash to clean up and I am sure there will be more by the time the event rolls around. There was even graffiti in the little caves we like to drive thru near the Doran entrance.

I'm bringing extra trash bags this year...and some trash grabber picker-uppers

Well, I suppose that depends upon how concerned you are about your paint. I'm taking my Jeep and after I take the back seat out, I figure that I can throw trash into the back.
I signed up to attend/help this morning.

I'm towing, so I'll have to truck for trash, and the Jeep for rock rash.

yeah il do that il tow my jeep out then il have my truck to in case we need it for trash ,i also have the rear seat out of my jeep, this sounds like it should be a fun event.
