King4wd & king4wd2 are in North Hesperia, across the street from the college. My sister and her family had to evacuate. So far, the unincorporated part of Apple Valley is on voluntary evacuation (it may be mandatory now?). That surrounds me! So far nothing for us to evacuate, but I have Marvin ready to go. Except that I don't have anything packed it. He's backed into the driveway. I did help my sister this morning to evacuate, Marvin did excellent after the repair job. Good thing & Praise God we got him fixed in time to help my sister, husband, and my neice. Just know that everyone that is being affected by the fire in some way or another you are in my prayers!Originally posted by sarah

Latest reports put the fire threatening the high desert as OUT!! Woo-Hoo!
Let's here it for those awesome fire crews! There's still some smoldering parts, but people may be allowed to move back in tomorrow morning. The fire crews will re-evaluate at 0700 when its light enough to see.
