I stole this entire post from a different site.

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Pictures and some information regarding the 2007 Jeep Wrangler have been leaked before the embargo was lifted. They were published in the February issue of MPG magazine. I'm still excited to see the official photography from DC.

NOTE: These linked pictures may expire, but I'm sure there will be more to come in the near future.

granted, it's cool-looking, but i prefer the legendary rugged look. the squareness is really pushed to the extreme, and it reminds me of one of those scions or new and super-lame honda "suv"s. it definitely looks like a product of chrysler designers. i say, "meh." i'm glad i have a '99

    thanks for sharing, goodtimes.

There are a couple things I like about it (removable fenders). But I don't like the bumpers (can't remove the endcaps), the grill is kinda.....goofy....., no more 4.0 (only the stupid v-6 that has to be turning 5 million rpm before it builds any torque), and it appears that they no longer have goodyear tires (although no one is sure if the above pictured jeep is a production model or not), the lower rear control arms look kinda spindly (think 'rover control arms). Not sure if they addressed the "shovel" issue introduced with the 2003's (that stupid belly pan that hung 5.25" below the frame), but here's hoping *

            Our first impression was H3.
Not sure how high a winch would sit on the front of it, and how much airflow you would take away from the radiator with installing a winch.

We will stay with ours now for a long time.

My impression is they are taking away its greatest asset: the ability to easily modify an already great off road vehicle.

                mixed feelings

I like the styling, does not look like a liberty (UGLY), carries on the design lineage very well.

I think that mosty people that buy them will just take off the front and rear bumpers, front fender flares (good option from Jeep), and drop in an old tried-and-true 4.0 I6. Bestop will come out with a soft top, and then everyone will stop complaining about there being no soft top anymore. Hopefully they haven't gone to IFS, otherwise the wrangler is now officially dead.

I saw a partial spy photo of the 4 door. looks like a Hummer. I'd stick with the 2 door.
                03 TJ. It'll go 65mph...can't complain.

No IFS. I doubt many people would swap out the engine....to new of a vehicle. There will be some, but they will likely be putting in the CRD out of the liberty. That is one good thing about this v-6...it is the same as in the liberty. Swapping in the CRD will be much easier now......

I have heard rumors that the dana 44's are now being built with 32 spline shafts. No new info on ears used on the front shafts (the weakest point on the shafts). It would be nice if they added some material there too.

And for those who didn't read the article above....the new wrangler is 5" wider than the old one....meaning the axles are also ~5" wider.....meaning that the axles used are almost full-width.

JP magazine states the np241 will replace the 231 in all wranglers. No more slip-yolks, but both driveshafts use CV joints (not to be confused with double-cardan u-joints that we commonly call a CV joint....these are the high speed constant velocity joints similar to what is used on the front axle shafts of IFS 4x4's). Look for a HP 44 under the front of the rubicon. Tires are now BFG's instead of MT/R's (probably to help reduce the unsprung weight for the CAFE standards), mounted on 17" wheels (16 for the X, 17 on the rubicon, 17 or optional 18" on the sahara). Diesel version available for the international models....but not here.

So do you think the HVAC blower switch will go out every 3 months like like the TJ?

since you made the wrong choice once, why not do it again.
