  • Hello California!

    Hey all,
Sorry I haven't been on in a while (actually, a long while). Anyways, I am taking the plunge and moving out to California (Huntington Beach). My parent's recently moved out there, and so I am going to make the best of it by moving out there as well. I have a degree in Environmental Management, so I am not too worried about finding a job. And, I am used to one of the highest costs of living in the US (Connecticut is the bedroom of NYC). I grew up in Phoenix, and I miss the west alot. Soooo, I look foreward to meeting you all and wheelin.

    Take care!

            California....land of the granola.

Take away the fruits and the nuts, all you have left are the flakes.

HB is pretty nice though, I lived there a few years back. I wonder if the womens volleyball teams still practice right next to the pier at noon on Tuesdays.....

Huntington beach, nice area. Having a enviromental degree I know you will want to walk the strand and look at all the Spotted Owls.

I'll let you in on a little secret. I am not a tree hugger. I am one who fights for the right to use land and be good stewards, not close every trail. Yes, there are some of us out there, not many, but some.

My ex said, "I am the wolf in sheeps clothing, learning the way of the liberal in order to fight them more effectively."

And yes, the fruits, nuts, etc... I am using this as a relocation out west. I don't know where life may take me next, such as Az, Nv, Co, etc, but a trip to those from LAX is alot easier than JFK or Logan, a shorter trip, and cheaper. But even if I end up staying in that area, who am I to complain (especially after living in the northeast for far too long) ??
