If it wasn't Bin Laden we would have found someone else to be the Evil Doer. And now that he is gone, we'll find the next in line. If you do a quick study, you'll find that the U.S. has been the instigator in most of our wars. The only exceptions I can think of off the top of my head are the Revolutionary War and World War one. In WWII, we had sanctions and embargos in place that were an irritant to the axis powers before we got into it. We also had a lot of materiel assistance going to allies, we knew what we were getting into. That is why we are so hated world-wide.
Regardless of the instigator, God bless those willing to stand to defend and/or avenge the rest. I say God bless the USA for the dedication to seek the perpetrators of 9/11 and bring them to justice. I think of the statement that the USA will make no distinction between terrorists and countries which harbor them. Kaddaffi admitted involvement in bombing the plane over Scottland.
