Doug, that's pretty cool. It would be pretty neat to re-trace that trip. Even maybe trying to get some "now" photos. Although maybe a bit depressing as I'm sure some of the landmarks are long lost to vandals and Father Time.

I can remember being there in July~August in the mid 60's with my Dad, fun times in a Volkswagen double-cab truck.

Incredible pictures. These photos almost seem staged and not really olden. And really they aren't doing anything different than we do today! Driving our machines out in the desert and camping and having a good time exploring! Thanx for sharing
