I have talked to Sarah about this same issue also , we discussed some ideas ,one thing we came up with is just a meet and greet get together .Talked about having it at night like at a pizza joint , bring your jeep ,family ,eat and a beverage of your choice . I was just waiting for enough time after the Holidays. If anyone has some other idea Im all ears .let me know what you guys and gals think
Me also, An idea... set a day like i.e. third saterday night at who evers pizza place in AV or Victorville for example. If it is a saterday then those that live do not live here in the high desert would have the option of attending and not fighting the monday thru friday traffic to get here. Also if they wanted to come up here and go wheeling with some of the MJR gang up here they could go on a run that morning and attend the meet and greet that night as well. I for one think it is a great idea as an overall. Get everyone together once a month or even every other month.
I like the idea of Saturday meetings. Apple Valley sounds good. Its only 150 miles from San Diego. So we should have it in the afternoon so us sandiagons can make it home before midnight.

The discussion has been of having a regular to semi-regular High Desert meetup.
We can surely do another in the Inland Empire like last year's Bass Pro Shop M'N'G but I'd like to wait until the weather stabilizes a bit to warm. IIRC last year was chilly and dreary.
For Feb Rick and I seem to have all day Sunday the 15th and Saturday the 21st clear.
For mid-day afternoon, we have Saturday the 7th, Saturday the 14th and maybe Sunday the 22nd.
If they would like to come up we could have a couple of runs based on skill level and rig ability. I would be glad to lead an "easy" run. Maybe through the Granite Mountains. Someone else could lead a "difficult" run. What do you think?

I like this idea - especially if it's still wet out there still. Then no one is rushed, and can stay and enjoy everyone's company. Maybe a run once it warms up a little?
