Thats pretty cool. I doubt it came in a box though.
Maybe they should re-think the title of kit car. To me a kit car is a superformance cobra, fiero testerosa or one of those "street beast" things, etc.
Whats the 59 being built as? Got any pics? One of these days I'm going to build a bellflower style late 50's early 60's convertible. I had a 66 Chrysler 300 vert, but code enforement made me stuff it in the side yard, never to be touched again til I sold it.
This is when I pulled her from storage. That was actually a canvas car cover and blue tarp that rotted right off it Was white with a green interior. Will be metallic blue with a factory blue interior, but that's a ways down the road. Still working on getting that beast of an engine under control. I'll probably take it to local car shows with that patina on it for a while. I'm not in a rush on this one.

Friggin sweet! What do you need to get the engine "under control?"

Well, the current engine is completely backwards from the original engine. It's a Buick engine in a Pontiac bay. I had to move the fuel lines and the electrical to the opposite side of the engine compartment. I'm having a heck of a time finding Buick headers that don't point straight back. I need the Pontiac style that point out and down. I may have to buy both and break out the welder. That thing was also LOADED with useless vacuum crap. I got the brilliant idea to reuse the vintage wiring harness. I'm too deep into it now to give up and use a Painless kit or something. Had to replace every wire that was exposed to heat and weather AND convert an external regulated generator system to a single wire alternator system. I'm one ballast resistor away from turning the key. Oh, the suspense!

I had a good time at the Kit Car Show. It was HOT today!!! 96* and humid. The show seems to be getting smaller. I guess one of the major manufacturers had their own show at the HB pier. Weird. We did the show for a few hours and spent the rest of the day at Knott's. I don't know where I got the energy when I was younger. I'm BEAT right now!
Me giving directions to a buddy.
A Superformance Daytona Coupe signed by Carrol Shelby!
Some other stuff

I love the 59 pontiac bonnevilles. My dad had a sweet 59 Pontiac Bonneville convertible when I was growing up. Man, I wish I had that car today. But I don't think my garage is long enough for one. He also had about 10 other Pontiacs. Mainly 63-64 GrandPrix's, Catalina Convertible, Catalina Safari Wagon, you name it.

Well that's fun. Pontiac owners tend to stay with Pontiacs. Once you've experienced that low-end grunt, it's hard to go back. Maybe that's why I like Jeeps too. Low-end grunt and no top end
