Got the box to ship it today . . . they've got a pretty lame process where a signature is required for them to drop off an empty box! I totally understand/appreciate requiring a sig when they send me the unit, but for an empty box . . . come on guys. Oh well, life has taught me that common sense is not all that common in this day and age!

Automated provisioning process. People from India don't get involved until that automated process is interrupted.

I guess I probably should sell it, cause I dont game as much as I used to.
did the same, and I still have both as well. they come in handy when we have lans. But anyways, it isnt really how much use it gets, just a chance game. some will never get RoD, others dont stop getting it. But yeah, like someone said before, leave it flat, not standing up, that not only over heats faster but it also can damage the disc drive and will scratch discs later. and it is best to have some kind of way to get cool air to the console whether it be a fan or near a window or so.

I did a bunch of crap, then I went to a new place and did the SAME CRAP. I went to yet another new place and started to do the SAME CRAP again, so I gave up and shelved it.

My kids had to add a fan to theirs after killing one. Seems to be working better now in a cabinet w/ lots of room around it and always w/ the doors open when playing. Fan is a Noisy sucker though.

Looks like I should have a refurbished console by Friday. I'm pretty impressed with the process and turn around time . . . not to mention really happy I didn't waste a bunch of money on Best Buy's special warranty when Microsoft is going to stand behind the product themselves.
