  • tire date code...

anyone know how to read the date code off the sidewall of a tire???

I understand America's tire won't warranty tires over 5 years old. I'm not completely sure mine are, just wanted to double check before I go in.

is it a 4 digit # at the end? should read like 1-day-2mont-3-year. or give me the last #s in the dot code. and i will tell you. i have been a tire man all my life so if there is anything i can do let me know? if it is a 3digit # just say junk.

      Yep, that explains it.

Tires Warehouse in Orange. I started there while I was in High School as a tire buster and worked my way up to asst manager over a span of about 8 years. I got out of the biz in 2000.

figured it out... in the last four digits, first two are the week second two are the year. for instance, my oldest tire is 1004 which means it was produced in the 10th week of 2004.
