I would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone to vote in the primaries February 5th. To do this, you must be registered with the party you intend to vote for (this is a closed primary) by January 22. After talking to a lot of people this weekend, this seemed to be a little known fact. You can also pick up voter registration cards at the post office.
Please, please, please remember how important environmental issues are to our group of enthusiasts. Positions on global warming and wilderness really hurt our sport. If you've already selected your candidate, review their stand on the environment and really read between the lines.
For example, this isn't something we want - but one of the candidates does!! I sure hope no one intends to vote for this person!
Please send me a PM or email if you have any questions. I'm not meaning to start a political debate (unless you want to!) just sending out a friendly reminder. If you know who said the above quote and are casting a vote for him, please let me know and I will come steal your car keys on Feb. 5th! hehehe
