Looking really sharp Erik. What lens/focal length did you use? Tripod?

No tripod. Things are happening way too fast for any of that. I am using the 70-200 2.8 L lens and the 24-70 2.8 L lens. Mostly the 70-200.

Being in the photo pit is a very competitive game. There are lenses swinging all over the place. It is not unusual to take a lens to the head while dodging crowd surfers being thrown in the pit and the artists whipping their mic cords all over the place.

It is high energy, high impact and fast moving.
          Lots of fun

Google "Opanda I Exif" and download it.
It will give you the EXIF data on most photos on the net.
You can see most of the info you would ever want to know about a photo on the net.

That is with the 400mm L. I cant release any more at the moment. I am waiting to hear back from the folks at www.countrystandardtime.com to see what they are going to use.

That show was awesome! there were 4 legends in the room and Taylor swift (soon to be legend).

Lionel Richie went out of his way to come and talk to me and shake my hand. Very cool event.

That's really cool Erik. How's old Lionel look in real life? Isn't he in his 70's now?

If he's 70's he is looking fantastic. Nice guy too. He is very personable and seemed to have a fun character.

Here is the Country Music Hall Of Fame review on their site. There are a few photos there.

This particular event was a fund raiser for The Hall Of Fame in which tickets ranged from 1K to 5k per chair. It was a very small high-flatooting venue.

Media coverage at the event was very exclusive to the big boys. Getty, LA times and the like. Video was covered by ABC, CBS, CNN, ET and similar.

It was a real honor to have been selected to cover this event.

this was not your standard concert environment. It was a much more personal encounter. It was mingling with the fancy folks

No Vern. Not in the slightest. Just taking on another hobby in hopes to eventually turn it into another income.
