I took a close look at that SX100 IS. VERY NICE!! It's 8 megapixels and 640x480 on the video! My old S410 is 4 megapixels and 320x240 on the video. What's weird is that the 2 cameras cost the same right now. They're both around $200. I think that SX100 is the one... unless I can find a similar camera with the same good features that can shoot 1280x720 video onto SD cards with a simiar price point.

There's one called a Powershot TX1 that takes 1280x720 video, but it looks funky. It's one of those one handed upright deals. Not my style.

My wife has the Canon EOS Rebel XT (D-SLR), and she absolutely LOVES that thing! It's he toy, so she won't let me take it out on the Jeep trips, sooo, I carry around a Sony DSC-W50. It's a GREAT little (read compact) digital camera. :thumbs_up

I'd imagine video mode would take weeks!

I use a Canon EOS 30D with four lenses: (all Canon lenses) EF-S 17-85 IS f4-5.6, EF 50 f1.4, EF 70-200 IS f2.8, and EF 100-400 IS f4.5-5.6. I also use a Canon Powershot S2-IS. Just thought I'd join in.

I use a Canon 20D with a handful of L lenses, but my favorite is the 16-35mm F2.8 L, Mk II

We just today bought the wife a Canon G10. Solid camera, not a small as the current drift of pocket cams, but 14mega pixel, and super nice controls and brilliant screen, and very nice lens (24mm - 140mm I think?). I fully expect this to shoot better than my 20D!
