  • 2" BL for STAK Clearance ?

Another option for clearance I am pondering is adding more BL to the equation. I have a 1" now and since my STAK and I added 3 washers to each mount but still not enough clearance. I have it clocked horizontal and would like to keep it that way. My other option is adding a 2" BL to see how much clearance I get.

Anyone running 2" and have any problems?

I have dont quite a bit of that already. Just a little bit more to go and I am trying to avoid dropping it again to do any more sheet metal damage....

If you put a 2" body lift on your jeep I will personally weld the doors, hood, and tailgate shut for you.

You wanted this t-case, now go do the right things to make it work.

                Atlas 4

I'm about 90% sure Ill have the Atlas installed this summer. The problems which Im hearing with Supe and others are a great interest to me.

If there is any other issues which will help out Supe and steer me ...post them

I'm not sure the 4 spd atlas is gonna work for ya vern. of course I could be wrong.

they add a reducer to the front of the transfer case making it longer. this will give you problems with rear driveshaft angles.

you could move the engine forward or stretch your wheelbase by moving your rear axle but damn, that seems like alot of work.

I am interested in seeing this happen...with the white Jeep and all of these new welds in place, it'll be like the General Lee and Daisy's CJ offspring!

Yeah its a bit longer this I know. It will add some degree to the back DS. I'm running a high pin rear which may help this angle. All is still in design .

I havent broke the upper u and a little more angle perhaps I may but hey no pain no gain. Must at least try!..or I'll change out the trans to super low # 1. Blaine said get auto......or change ax gearing ...what does he know! eh!

There were really no major problems with the install so dont let that scare you. It just takes a lot of work. The more horizontal you set it up, the more metal you have to cut and pounding you have to do. I think my downfall is the lack of tools and experience. I am learning a lot as I go. It being my daily driver makes it frustrating because it has been down for a bit, but fortunatly I live pretty close to work

I am just thinking of all my options to finish it.

I got some good pro-e files on the frame and body of a 200tj. As soon as I can get the atlas over lay if possible I'll know if this thing will fit correctly.
Still working on the axel drawings those i need to do myself. Ive got to many people telling me it wont fit and I will listen closely to them.

keeps us posted with your fun!

I know just what your going through. While stuffing a d300 above my flat belly skid I had all kinds of trouble trying to make it fit. Everyone was telling me to cut the floor but that concept just scared me.

I was up at Blaines when he installed his Atlas. He mocked up the Atlas, drew some lines on the tub floor, cut out the chunk that was in the way, folded some sheetmetal, riveted it in place, painted in black, done in just a few hours and looked great.

Granted Blaine has the skills and tools to make it easy, but after watching his install I felt pretty foolish for spending many, many days beating on my floor.

I would guess with this industry the suppliers of these type components would have cad files on them. No one does. What I do know the case is 4" longer and exactly the same elsewhere. There are some other options including changing out the trans...let the fun begin
