    If you look at those, they are held on by one of the u-bolts. It's a cheap way to do it. As long as the bump stop hits square, it'll work. Having them welded is better.
    I had them welded last time also. Good tip though.

      I had an old tow bar laying around... 1" x 1.5" tube...so I chopped it, drilled some holes...and used 2 grade 8 bolts and lowered the stock rubber frame mounted bump stops 1.5" on all 4 corners. Works like a charm and it was FREE!

        I thought that minimizing the upward travel with bump stops would defeat some of the downward travel on the other side of the vehicle in a 4wheelin situation. Apparently not......?

          Longer bump stops will work only downfall will be the teeth rattling jar when you bottom out at speed with only 2" up travel. I would look into the timbrine air bumps, I had them on my GMC they are not much more than new bump stops but will keep your back happy.
