I just completed a 1" body lift on my `85 CJ7. I am glad I didn't go any higher. I could see all kinds of problems going higher:
    1. The gas tank filler lines would be too short
    2. Would have to move the radiator
    3. Extend the steering shaft
    4. Rebuild the cluch linkage braket
    5. Lower the brake line mounts
    6. Cut the floor board so the shifter can travel far enough to get into 1st and 2nd.

I am getting used to the height difference, but it does feel a little top heavy. I have a total of 3" lift and from the body at the front wheel well, I have 24" clearance. I currently have 31x10.5 BFg AT's I'm sure 33's would fit with no problem.

i have a 3" body lift and it is bad. i bought the jeep like that. it will take a lot of work to bring it back to reality, 1" lift. so for now i will be lazy and leave it. i don't have any problems with it so it will stay for now.

      i want this jeep
