No switches or gadgets on my Jeep. I bought one of these. No wheel, no steal. Don't think it would work with newer vehicles but it works great for my CJ.

Is there a way you could put a switch right to the battery lead?

you could do that. the only problem is you would need a bigger relay, on the battery. you dont have to be too smart to open up the hood and see that one. maybe if you put a relay between the battery and the starter, hide it under the body, and put a little switch where ever.
than again, if you get the guy with the tow truck, hope you have lojak
