  • TJ coilovers???

thinkin' about doin' this in the front. got some questions for anyone with any experience with 'em.

FWIW, the rear are RE 4.5" springs and I'd plan on using the Currie towers.

The lenght numbers on the fox 12" shocks seem right for where the currie mounts put the top eye, can anyone confirm this?

are the 2.0 coilovers sufficient or would the 2.5s be better suited?

I did a quick check on the fox website and didn't see anything about springs. maybe i just missed it. if not... where should I be looking for springs and what rates???

    thank you.

    Brian. :yay:

nah, I talked about it with blaine a bit and with currie selling a pre-made tower, cutting all that crap out would be less work than trying to fab a shock mount.

Pre-made towers? cool......I was looking into Fox coilovers a while back. Fox does not sell the springs, you have to get them somewhere else. I'll have to dig through my old e-mails to verify, but I believe Dave @ polyperformance was the one person that just about everyone mentioned during my conversations about coil overs and spring rates back when I was looking into it.

Dynacrap can suck my arse. :censor:

                    thank you Sean. :yay:

I probably won't end up goin' this route. The coolness factor doesn't really match the pricetag.

I'm still considering it...but it will be done in conjunction with some long arms since I have decided that my (current) jeep won't be seeing any really hard trails.....I'll be setting it up for the long bumpy dirt roads (Baja, etc), and setting up something else (which isn't so new) for the big f'in rocks.

But I also need to work out some frame mods to fit the c/o's in the back too.....
