Just about everything I've gone thru was just to keep the belly pan where it's at and not have to drop it . . . I'm not ready for another undertaking like a belly up just yet. I saw your post about that Antirock, but I've heard mixed reviews about whether or not it's a good idea for a daily driver. I commute 20 miles each way to work. It replaces the front swaybar right . . . eliminates the need to disconnect right?

Yes and Yes. Some people don't like it, but it personally didn't bother me, and I drive my TJ fast. Even going up and down the mountain to go to BB, blasting through the turns was no problem. There are different adjustments for the stiffness and I had it on a setting that was good overall.

Oh, easy! All you have to do is replace every single suspension component under your Jeep and *VOILA!*

                Heebeegeebees

Apparently Josh's, Rick's, and my Jeep have been spending too much time around each other and have all contracted one version or another of the vibe virus. Seems like mine had to do with setting the new angle for the CV driveshaft, which makes sense, but what's up with this odd ball stuff with Rick and Josh's Jeeps? For those of you that have had vibe/wobble issues in the past, please share what the problem/cure was. Sure would be nice to get a feel for the best areas to keep an eye on or check first . . . Thanks!

Well the problem I am having is way more severe then yours and ricks. About 70 miles on the highway it started violently shaking up and down. Like bouncing. So I rotated tires and checked all joints and so forth. Will pull off the steering stabilizer and recheck the whole front end. Either way it sounds like I will be opening the check book.

Up and down? Tread separation maybe? Blown shock?

Don't worry Josh . . . I'm sure you'll get it figured out. Do you think it's that trackbar acting up again? Wasn't that part of the issue Rick was having too? Luckily we've already replaced all the big stuff so hopefully we won't have to open up the check book too much:dunno:

                        Round Three

Ding Ding . . . Well I just picked up the rest of the parts so after this round, the entire suspension in the rear will be new and I think the only stock component in the suspension at all will be the front upper control arms (probably the next thing I'll change out). I've got the new CV style rear trackbar bracket, adjustable trackbar, rear shock relocators, and a new steering stabalizer all ready to be installed and will hopefully have everything on by the weekend so I can get her in the dirt and see how she does!

Question for ya . . . have any of you with 4" lifts that have not dropped the belly pan had any issues running the stock front driveshaft? Mine's in good shape (only a 2006) and doesn't have any chunks missing or anything from contacting the rocks. If so, what was the issue/cure???

FYI... I don't remember which shock relocators a friend got, but when I helped him put his suspension on, they were a royal PITA b/c the holes would barely line up. Really poor workmanship, but nothing a BFH couldn't take care of. On mine, I didn't bother when I had the RE setup, I just ran the shocks can up.

What's the issue with your front DS?

I went with the TeraFlex ones . . . RE has them in their catalog but isn't bringing them out for a while and the Currie ones I saw looked weak. I was just down in the garage . . . figured I'd put on the stabalizer and the shock relocators, but quickly realized my lack of tools. Hopefully I won't have issues with the holes lining up, but unless I can angle them in from the top, I'm going to have some grinding/bending as the bottom of those shocks brackets have slid over a rock or two! I don't think/know if my front DS has any issues, just checking . . . was starting to worry that the angles might be off seeing that I didn't drop the belly and don't have upper front adjustable control arms...I know of a few guys that run the stock shaft, but wasn't sure if it leads to problems and if so if the uppers would cure it as they're pretty much the only thing left as far as the suspension goes . . . I really should've just bought the superdeluxe kit and been done with all this nonsense!!!

yeah I had the relocators and they were a pain lining up. One side was good the other was bad.

I run the stock shaft and a belly up, no problems..... but I have adjustable CAs

If you're doing the work this weekend and need a hand (actually 2), you're welcome to come over.

Josh - That's exactly what happened. I think it was the passenger side that went well, and I thought to myself, cool, a few more minutes and I can have a cold one. Well, the other side was a PITA.
