BTW - all summer I have been restoring a 1951 14' trailer to tow behind my Jeep. It really won't be for off roading so to speak, but rather for a base camp set-up i.e. Calico, Ballarat, & Means Dry Lake type camping.
I have read a lot about the Benroy's. They command a good price and some have been remarkable restored.

I remember you talking about your restoration project. Hope to see some day.

That is bad ass. You get the tear drop look and your hot dogs can be sand free. Win Win.

Very clever use of space. Lots of thinking going into all of these variants on the old teardrop idea.

I would like to build a trailer that uses the pop-top off of a VW campervan to make a top bunk and some head room to cook.

                I've got one.

It was custom built by a guy in San Jacinto.

If you haven't yet, definitely check out http://www.mikenchell.com/forums/.
It's a great teardrop forum with a ton of home builds, as well as manufacturer information.
