The Sheriff Dept is pretty easy going on stuff like that in my opinion. CHP along the 15fwy can be a little more critical.

I’m waiting on these. They should be out for the YJ by the end of April. Strong, light weight, probably won’t tweak your tub like tube fenders can, and they are cheap. What’s not to like?

Interesting. I wonder how the plastic will hold up.

Very well so far for the TJ guys that are already using them. There is a 15 page long thread on JeepForum about them.

The top of the fender (where the latch is) width is 1.5" or?

Notice the thickness of my hood compared to the other, or stock.

These are raised up~3" or so to allow more tire clearance without lifting the jeep.

                        Here is another angle.
See the hood has been cut down in thickness to allow the fenders to raise up.

                          Thanks Erik, I follow.

                          This place has them too
                          http://ccfabs.com/products-front.htm

$200 for 16 guage metal on top and 1/8" guage for $250. Worth the extra $50?

I recommend genright for these fenders.

For highline fenders do you trim your hood or is it easier to buy a new hood?
