However Muddyjeep, there may be guys out there who still have their stock one after they did their own conversion.

You'll also want to get upper adjustable control arms so you can adjust your pinion angle. The pinion angle is important because with a regular shaft, you want the pinion angle to be parallel to the transfer case's output shaft, and the U-Joints will offset each other's vibrations as long as your operating angle is within about 13 degrees (I think...). With a CV type shaft you need to have the pinion angle parallel with the shaft itself and the CV portion will take the angle needed from the output shaft...
Most people do the SYE kits to eliminate driveline vibes when lifting their Jeep too high, but you might want to do it because all SYE kits (that I know of... other than a hack-n-tap) have a much stronger output shaft.
EDIT: Another reason you might want to choose this SYE/CV combo is that there's tons of information online about how to install it yourself:

and even a video:

has anyone here actually broken an output shaft?
I have been running mine for years and breaking everything BUT the output shaft I hack and tapped 5 years ago....and thats with a 4-1 kit. It's not what you have. it's what you do with what you have.

I agree with Materdaddy. David is very knowledgable and helpful. Or you could call Tom Woods direct http://www.4xshaft.com/index.html They treated me very well also. I am pretty sure you you can run an SYE at stock height but either of these 2 sources can tell you for sure and what you'll need to do it.
