              Rear Drive Shaft update

The rear drive shaft is in and installed. I have had a lot of inquires about the extra length on the TC rear side. The picture is with long arms (re 5.5)extended and stopped by Rancho 9600's shocks.

              [SIZED]http://britain.connectnet.com/Photography/Mods/rearshaft.jpg[/SIZED]

The yokes on the upper drive to TC are binding up. Nothing else is set. Trying to find some big mouth yokes to eliminate the bind, though the u's wont like that much.

The more interesting part of the project is the Hi steer with Howe ram steer. Even though I have Dana 60 Hi pin axels the concept will work with any one with 44's that have hi steer options on the knucs and want ram steer added. It is a lot of work but .........I'll post that later

                All four on the ground

Finally all tires are on the ground. Some small issues with the ram steering being the hold up. Thats completed working good, even the Hi steer ok.

The low in the Atlas is really sic. Even when the trans is up shifted its way lower then many running in low.

I'm going to play tomorrow find some debre and start the testing.......Hope I dont end up like Supe

                  Test Run

                  Atlas:
Ran it over a stretch of boulders checking for any rear drive shaft binding problems looks good to go. Though lost the electric shift to sic low while messing around. Its so low you can get out go take a leak and get back in before it goes a foot. To hot to mess with it now.

                  [SIZED]http://britain.connectnet.com/Photography/Back.jpg[/SIZED]

                  Ram Steering:
Blocked the steering it into some off camber butted up boulders. Ram performed great it either pushed the jeep off the rocks or turned the wheels .

                  [SIZED]http://britain.connectnet.com/Photography/Howe.jpg[/SIZED]

Stuans aired down and up well. Need to finish up some rear lighting.

                      Hey Rick,
Its basicly ready except for the rear lights to make it really legal on the street. Had a connector causing the electric drive to go out. Someones going to run Devils tonight Steve will be there I may show up but not run it though.

Hows those classes or have you started?

They might not hold up! I'll have to keep a tally of who has purchased them.
