i was stopped at a red light and when i was taking off my rear axle started popping, i just happened to be right up the road from the dealership (thank god) so i pulled in and got them to take a look they put it in reverse and it was popping just as it did with me so i figured, snapped axle, but didnt know why but my rearend was leaking because there was a hole in it they said that the gears threw a pin through the case how does that happen...

Ever notice Jeep dosen't offer 32" tires from the factory.
Theat being said, I'm suprised in the failure. A few folks wheel their Jeeps around here with stock axles and 33s.

actually..
the 30 inch tire and wheel package came with my dana 44, and rubicons have dana 44's, so a 32" tire is really 3" taller than most dana 35's see from the factory.
WHy must is be a dana 35??
because the carrier is smaller, spider gears are smaller, the housing deflects more....
I would say that a C-clip got into the spider gears and the carrier broke. It's not what you have. it's what you do with what you have.
