Went down to my steel supplier today to get some steel. They have some big breaks and presses, so I asked if they could bend some 3/16 steel plate to fit my jeep frame. This is what they did in about 5 minutes

This will work great for my stretch because I want to cut my frame behind my rear body mount in front of the axle and just move every thing back.

Ok the t-case hangs up in neutral, going from 4 low to 2h. It's a tera-low np231. So I will pull it and split it tomorrow. I"m thinking fork or rail is worn-out. What do you guys think? (this has been a problem before the swap)

Does it shift hard or jam when you try to shift it say with a cresent wrench on the shift lever on the transfercase?

Art the times it has done it, you can not shift it with out rocking it and putting pressure on the the shift lever. Right now it has no DS hooked up and I can put it in any gear and it will not shift into 2H.

Can't recall the name of it, but the rail that your shift fork rides on... Does it have plenty of clearance in the pocket on the back half of the case, or could something be floating in there? When I swapped to a TJ output, I learned that any interference there will keep it from going into 2wd.

The TC looked ok on the inside. The fork has a little wear and I tried to ajusted it some. The plan now is see how the gearing is with the new trans. Might be time for 5 to 1 or 4 speed.
